For those flying commercially, your journey will connect through either Calgary or Vancouver, with your final stop in Fort St. John, BC. Upon arrival, we or a member of our team will greet you and take you to the start location of your journey depending on your hunt goals previously discussed. You will start your hunt at the Main Lodge or we will take you to the airstrip for the last leg of your travels to more remote locations.
We will arrange a commercial piloted bush plane to get to our remote lodge “Big Meadow”. Reach out to us so we can help arrange the details.
Once you have made your kill, your guide will ensure your trophy is properly cared for in the field. Once back at the lodge, we will ensure it gets to our local taxidermist who will coordinate with you and do the necessary steps to preserve your animal. He will make all preparation and arrangements for shipping to a taxidermist of choice. Please note that any shipping costs are the responsibility of the client.
A wounded animal is considered “harvested,” and the associated trophy fees will be due. If a wounded animal cannot be found, the hunter will not be allowed to hunt another of the same species. However, we are fully committed to retrieving all wounded animals, and efforts to locate them may extend beyond the conclusion of the hunt. Ethical shot placement is of utmost importance, and the decision to shoot is entirely the hunter’s. Make sure it’s the right choice.
